A Sense of Place

Fête champêtre: Cavaliers and Women round a Gaming Board, Joseph Le Roy, about 1850-1860

The Friends Gallery currently centres on the theme of A Sense of Place. The display explores the ways in which our associations with place can be about people as well as buildings or geographical characteristics, and how they can also be something much less easy to define about identity, memory or a state of mind.

A thank you to one of the founding members of the Friends of The Wilson, Jenny Ogle. Click here for more information on Jenny.
