Produce a piece of embroidery inspired by Ernest Gimson.
Saturday 8 February 2020
In this creative hand embroidery workshop you will produce a piece of white work embroidery inspired by the designs of Ernest Gimson. The day will include: tuition to stitch a sampler style embroidery project that will introduce you to the textural stitches used in white work; study time in the Gimson exhibition with the original embroideries; and, opportunity to design your own piece of work inspired by Gimson. This creative day should leave you inspired by historical textiles and with a new perspective on a traditional craft.
Jo Teague is an experienced stitched textiles and crafts tutor, working for over 10 years with a variety of local organisations.
